Biography
David has a degree in Biological Sciences from Lancaster University, an MSc. in Biotechnology and Bioreactor Systems from UMIST (now University of Manchester) and a PhD from the University of Manchester. After training as a clinical scientist at what was then the Regional Molecular Genetics Laboratory in Manchester, David moved to the Molecular Genetics Laboratory in Liverpool where he was deputy head of the laboratory for 10 years. In April 2015, David moved back to the Genomic Diagnostics Laboratory in Manchester to head the laboratory’s innovation and development team. David has a strong interest in genetics laboratory information systems.
