Dr Elisabeth Jameson graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, having first completed a degree in geology with oceanography at the University of Southampton. She undertook house-jobs in Scotland before embarking on a career in paediatrics, including a year of junior training in New Zealand. Dr Jameson completed her core registrar training in Yorkshire, including completing an MSc in child health, before moving to Manchester to complete three years of sub-specialty training.
Dr Jameson took up her consultant post in August 2012 and sees patients with the full spectrum of metabolic disease. In addition to her clinical practice, she has an interest in undergraduate medical education and has regular bedside teaching sessions as well as facilitating communication skills seminars. Dr Jameson is currently the clinical lead for the Willink and has additional management roles through her work with the Trust’s transformation team.
