Laboratory Opening Hours

Our laboratories are open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. In addition, Biochemical Genetics remains open until 5.30pm on Mondays to Thursdays.

All laboratories are closed on official UK public holidays.

 

Out-of-Hours Service

An out-of-hours service is provided by Biochemical Genetics. Urgent investigations will only be performed following discussion with one of our consultants, who may be contacted via the hospital switchboard on 0161 276 1234.


Getting to the Department

From St Mary's main entrance, go past the lifts and glass sculpture to the main corridor and turn right. When you reach the butterflies on the wall, turn right and use the lifts to go our reception area on the 6th floor.

From the Children's Hospital main entrance, go straight on until you reach the fish tank near the restaurant. Turn right, go past the first set of lifts and use the second set of lifts (on your left) to go to our reception area on the 6th floor.
