Our Clinics

Genetic Medicine, comprised of both clinical and laboratory departments, is based physically and managerially in St Mary's Hospital. The Regional Genetic Service (RGS) provides genetic services to Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria. Clinical biochemical services (provided by The Willink Unit) also extend to Bradford and Alder Hey, where regular weekly clinics are held. In addition, regular clinics for the muccopolysacharide group of disorders are offered through a national clinic network and in Dublin.

Special interests include dysmorphology, neuropsychiatry, neuromuscular genetics, cancer genetics, ophthalmic genetics, cardiac genetics, endocrine disorders, the genetics of deafness, neurofibromatoses and general genetics.

See our referral guidelines for information on how to refer patients to any of these clinics.
