Clinical Services

Genetic Medicine provides clinical services across the
north-west region, with services for all the sub-specialties of
clinical genetics, including prenatal genetics, dysmorphology,
biochemical genetics (provided by the Willink Unit), neuromuscular
genetics, neuropsychiatric genetics, ophthalmic genetics, cardiac
genetics, cancer genetics, the genetics of deafness and general
adult genetics. A number of multidisciplinary clinics are
offered in conjunction with other clinicians, generally on the
central site. District clinics are run throughout the north-west
region.
As well as outpatient services, we have inpatient facilities in
the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for patients with
metabolic disorders. We are happy to give telephone advice about
referrals to this service.
