By Road from M56
At the end of the M56 motorway, continue along A5103 dual carriageway towards Manchester for approx. 4 miles.  Look out for a large Shell Petrol station on your left-hand side and continue for about another mile.

At the traffic lights with the large Princess Brewery, turn right onto Moss Lane East. This should be signposted Whitworth Art Gallery, Museum and Universities. Go through one set of traffic lights and at the next set of lights turn left onto Oxford Road towards the City Centre (look for the Whitworth pub on your right, just before the junction).

By Road From M62 (Eastbound)
Leave M62 at J12 and join M602 towards Salford for approx. 4 miles. At motorway end, join A57 Manchester, which becomes the A57(M) after about a mile.

Leave the A57(M) at A34 exit (signed Congleton), bearing sharp left (following signs for Universities). Continue south along the A34 though a number of traffic lights until you pass an ESSO petrol station on your left. Take next right onto Hathersage Road; St. Mary’s hospital is on the right. A pay & display car park can be used on the right immediately before the St. Mary’s tower.
