Directions from Stockport area - Best to avoid City Centre

Use M60. Leave M60/M62 at Junction 13: at roundabout turn right (towards Worsley) and follow A572, signposted SWINTON. On crossing the East Lancs. Road, (A580 - Charlie Browns' on right) drive straight ahead on top of road ("T" Junction with traffic lights). Turn right onto A6 and continue ahead - Hospital on left (Hospital Road) - 1 mile.

Directions from Yorkshire, Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, etc

Via M60 (West-bound) to Junction 16, turn left onto A666 towards Manchester. At Clifton traffic lights continue ahead, 1 mile after passing "The Station" and small row of shops turn right into Hospital Road (sign posted for RMCH). Hospital at bottom of Hospital Road on left.

Directions from Blackpool, Preston, Chorley, etc

Via M6/M61 to Junction 3, signposted A580 and A666 Manchester and Kearsley.
(a) At A666 at Kearsley roundabout follow A666 towards Manchester. Cross over M60 and continue to Clifton. At Clifton traffic lights continue ahead, 1 mile after passing "The Station" and small row of shops, turn right into Hospital Road (signposted for RMCH). Hospital at bottom of Hospital Road on left.

OR

(b) Join A580 at Wardley continue ahead. At 2nd set of traffic lights turn left into Worsley Road (Charlie Browns' on right) and continue to top of road ("T" junction with traffic lights). Turn right onto A6 continue ahead - Hospital on left (Hospital Road) - 1 mile.

Directions from Greater Manchester Area via City Centre

Take A6/A666/A580 from city via 'The Crescent' passing Salford University and Salford Precinct (on left). At Irlams O'th Heights take slip road A6/A666 and follow signs for A6 SWINTON around the roundabout - Hospital on right in quarter of mile. Entrance on Hospital Road.

N.B. 1st right after passing the Staff Entrance.

Directions from Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale

BURNLEY and PENDLE M65 (to Manchester) Off at Junction 8. Transfer to A56 to Manchester .......... joining M66 at Rawtenstall, off at junction 4. Transfer to M60 westbound towards airport, only 2 junctions along .......... OFF at Junction 16 (Swinton Exit). Left at top of slip road A666, towards Swinton. 1 1/2 miles along A666, turn into Hospital Road. The hospital is on the left, car park in hospital grounds £1 charge.

M6--------M61--------Turn off at Junction 2 signposted A580 Manchester
Along dual carraigeway (A580) At 2nd set of traffic lights turn LEFT signposted A572 Swinton (Motorworld Garage on corner)
Go up the hill to "T" junction at traffic lights turn RIGHT
The Hospital is half a mile on the left

Turn into Hospital Road and right into the car park (£1 charge)

From Bury New Road or M66, Join M60 and travel towards Manchester exit Junction (16)
Turn Left signposted A666 Swinton and continue for approximately 1 mile
Straight on through 1st set of Traffic lights
Past Esso Garage on your left
Past McDonalds on your left
Past St. Augustines Primary School on your right
Turn right into Hospital road (signposted Children's Hospital)
Car Park approx one quarter of a mile on left. £1 charge
NB it is often difficult to park so please leave plenty of time
