Dr Simon Jones is a consultant metabolic paediatrician who qualified in paediatrics in Edinburgh and London before moving to Manchester in 2005. He was appointed as a consultant in the Willink unit in 2008. His time is spent shared between general metabolic and lysosomal storage disorders. He does a regional clinic for lysosomal patients in Northern Ireland. His research interests are treatments for the Lysosomal storage disorders, especially in the area of enzyme replacement therapy. He is actively involved in teaching, at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
