Profile

Dr Chandler trained at Cambridge University and The Royal London Hospital, and qualified MbBChir in 1990. She worked in paediatrics in Queens Elizabeth's Children's Hospital, London and Leicester Royal Infirmary.obtaining MRCP in 1993. She then spent a years' sabbatical in the Genetics Department of Maastricht University Hospital before training in Clinical Genetics in Manchester in 1996. Her research was in Cohen syndrome and she obtained an MD in 2003. Dr Chandler has been a Consultant at the Regional Genetic Service in Manchester since August 2003. She undertakes general genetic clinics but specialises in paediatric and dysmorphology genetics. She holds monthly district genetic clinics in Blackburn and Bolton and is an international expert on Cohen Syndrome.
